Control during the whole
Control during the whole cold rolling process includes 3 points: thickness control, flatness control and speed control.
3.1 Thickness Control
Rolling mills are the main equipment of thickness control and they are classified on the basis of the number of rollers as 4-bar / 6-bar / 20-bar rolling mills. The thickness can be controlled by testing the distances between the upper and lower rollers and adjusting the distances through the cylinder system.
3.2 Flatness Control
Flatness control is the main purpose of cold rolling. To gain the expected flatness, we need the surface inspection system, CVC, position transducer system. The surface of cold-rolled strips can be controlled by adjusting the negative and positive bending cylinder, position transducer.
3.3 Speed Control
Since the cold-rolled materials are of high hardness, we have to lower the tension strength to maintain its good mechanical properties while we also need to maintain a certain level of tension, thus speed controlling is important during the whole rolling process.
H1*V1=H2*V2 (H1: entrance thickness, V1: entrance speed, H2:exit thickness, V2: exit speed)
Through this math model, we can calculate the speed of all rollers of the whole cold rolling process.
